Create Beautiful Memories

As well as being a funeral celebrant, leading the funeral services themselves, Sarah also works with us to create memorable receptions for families who have lost a loved one.

Returning home after a funeral service

If you are planning for all guests to return to a private home following the funeral service, we will arrive just before you depart with the cortege, to go to the service. We will then unload without disturbing mourners and set up everything for your return, with tea, coffee, glass for your drinks, and buffet foods. This means we can then receive the first guests to arrive, give them a drink and ensure their comfort, while you take all the time you need before returning to join them.

Planning and Paying

When a funeral reception is part of the day of the service, it is often considered to be a 'funeral expense', which means it can be reclaimed from the estate before going to probate, just like the cost of the service and funeral director's fees. If you have opted for a direct cremation, any subsequent reception on another day will usually be at your expense, not the estate. If you're not sure, just ask.

Menus

Most menus for funerals tend to be light buffets, as many guests only stay for a short while and want a cup of tea or glass of wine, with something on a smaller plate that they can hold while standing and chatting. We can also arrange full main courses, hot buffet dishes and more bespoke menus... often including your loved one's favourite dish!
We work with many funeral directors and many venues, so let us know if you need assistance or guidance.

Venues and Funeral Directors

We work with a number of local funeral directors and many different venues to create truly memorable occasions where your loved one can be truly and fondly remembered. If you are a venue or funeral director, please contact Sarah to see how we can assist your families with our range of sensitive, discreet services.
If you are a family, wondering where to begin with your funeral planning, we have many years of experience in ensuring your needs are sensitively met, sourcing venues and liaising to ensure a perfect service, every time.
